Doc S Tales Robert C Sartori DVM R Sartori 9781449504168 Books
This book includes about 45 short stories that Dr. Sartori tells, from his unique perspective as a veterinarian that has treated almost every kind of creature imaginable during his fifty plus years in practice. If you've ever been the proud owner of a pet or happen to own a horse, you know that eventually you'll have to call your veterinarian when health problems occur. Many thousands of people brought their animals to Doc over the years and in this book he highlights some of the most interesting cases he treated. It is fascinating to read about how he is able to come up with a diagnosis by asking questions, looking at and listening to each kind of animal he treated. He treated all kinds of animals from a 4 oz. cockatiel to a Belgian horse that weighed over three thousand pounds. Both of them had fractured femurs! It is enjoyable reading and you may even learn some new things about dairy cows and farmers too if you've never been able to spend some time on a farm. I found much of the book entertaining and humorous, I even laughed out loud a few times even though there are some of the inevitable sad stories that occur when dealing with illness and loss of a pet. A great read.
