As a long time fan of hockey, I had to get this book. I was SO glad I did. We follow a team in the SPHL which is similar to the NEHL in the book. Our team has had a rough season this year and the hockey has not been that great. I enjoyed the development of this team and was rooting for them to win. I told my husband when he asked me what I was reading , "I reading a better hockey game than any I've seen this season!" I would recommend this book to hockey fans and girls that feel left out in the sports world.Great book look forward to more.

Growing up as a tom boy and playing ice hockey with the neighborhood kids, made me fall in love with this book. The play by play descriptions made me feel like I was sitting in the arena. I loved how Sid traveled to distant shores to gather the biggest, best, toughest women for his 'all female' hockey team, he could get his hands on. Visualizing the players was easily done, and they were all very much liked. There was this perfect amount of humor and brawl in the story, and I couldn't help but think how this would make a perfect movie! Very, very, well done.
not edited very well, but i enjoyed the story lines. was ok, but i cudnt face into the next book
